Mirador Basin Project
From mid-July of this year until the end of August I will be working with with the Mirador Basin Project and Dr. Richard Hansen to help document the activities and goings on of the project. The Mirador Basin is a tract of pristine rain forest located in the northern most reaches of Guatemala near the Mexican boarder. The project is primarily working to excavate the numerous Mayan sites in the area. In the process, they are revolutionizing our knowledge of this ancient and advanced civilization.
